Sencha Lunchstore in Alkmaar is a relaxed blend between a classic tea room/ brunch restaurant and an independent style home décor store. Sencha’s is independently owned and offers atmospheric respite for body and mind just off of one of Alkmaar’s busiest shopping streets. While the majority of the menu is vegetarian (all animal products are “organic” in origin), various self-made cakes are made without any animal-based ingredients. There is also at least one vegan sandwich with hummus available. In addition, Sencha also specialises in the sale of vintage furniture and small household items that blend in effortlessly with the relaxed atmosphere. A playing area for children is provided at the back of the restaurant and there is ample space for buggies.
